Evaluations for 3rd-12th grade girls will be held Sunday 2/5/2023. Team assignments will be done based on assessment scores and a review done by youth coaches on the softball committee.
Team rosters will be shared several weeks after assessments due to late registrations, makeup assessments, and a softball committee meeting to review rosters. An additional $125 fee will apply if a player is invited to join a Tri-County traveling league team.
High school coaches will hold assessments, the purpose being:
- Determine skill level to make teams
- Learn who is interested in pitching and catching to make sure all teams have a girls interested in pitching and catching.
- Meet potential new coaches – explain both leagues, answer questions
- Discuss equipment and what is needed
-Try on uniforms
*Girls unable to attend assessments may attend a makeup date if the softball director is notified prior to assessment date
*Girls unable to attend due to injuries will be placed on team based on previous coaches' post-season evaluation of skilled level from 2022 season.

-Competitive
-Play in WI & MN (i.e. Baldwin, St. Paul)
-Advanced
-In-field fly rule and dropped 3rd strike rule
-Kid pitch only
-Steal bases
-Double-headers twice per week
-Game nights vary by age level
-Three or more weekend tourneys

Recreational League
-For beginners
-Play in WI (i.e. Glenwood City, Spring Valley, Elmwood-Plum City, Durand, and more)
-Game/practice nights determined by league/coaches, respectively
-Two weekend tourneys possible, depending on team interest
-Need own helmet, mask, glove
