2020 Girls Softball Registration Information

Evaluations for 3rd-12th grade girls will be held 2/2/2020  Team assignments will be made based on assessment scores.  Team rosters will be shared several weeks after assessments due to late registrations, makeup assessments, and a softball committee meeting to review rosters. An additional $75 fee will apply if a player is invited to join a Tri-County traveling league team. 3rd and 4th graders may play in the recreational league or traveling league, depending on assessment score. 5th-12 grade will play ONLY in the traveling league.

  • Eligible girls will be in grades 3rd-12.
  • Registration Fees for 2020 will be $100.00.
  • Online registration begins 1/17/2020.
  • Deadline for registering 1/31/2020.
  • Late registrations will be charged a $25.00 fee
  • A jersey is included with registration fee
  • Option to purchase pants for $20.00
  • Option to purchase Belts for $7.00
  • Option to purchase Socks for $7.00

High school coaches will hold assessments, the purpose being:
- Determine skill level to make teams
- Learn who is interested in pitching and catching to make sure all teams have a girls interested in pitching and catching.
- Meet potential new coaches – explain both leagues, answer questions
- Discuss equipment and what is needed
-Try on uniforms

*Girls unable to attend assessments may attend a makeup date if director Corey Sanders is notified prior to assessment date
*Girls unable to attend due to injuries will be placed on team based on previous coaches post-season evaluation of skilled level from 2019 season(s).

Age groups are as follows:
2001 & 2002 play 18U
2003 & 2004 play 16U
2005 & 2006 play 14U
2007 & 2008 play 12U
2009 & 2010 play 10U

***2nd graders are not eligible for either league. Registration for 4K tball through second grade machine pitch will be in late spring.

League descriptions:

Tri-County Traveling League Informaton
-level of play determined by birth year, not school grade
-Competitive
-Play in WI & MN (i.e. Baldwin, St. Paul)
-Advanced
-In-field fly rule and dropped 3rd strike rule
-Kid pitch only
-Steal bases whenever
-Double headers twice per week
-Game nights vary by age level
-3 weekend tourneys
-Need own helmet, mask, glove

Western Wisconsin In-House League
-level of play determined by school grade
-Recreational
-Play in WI (i.e. Hudson, River Falls)
-For beginners
-No in-field fly rule or dropped 3rd strike rule
-Coach pitches to own batter after 4 balls
-Two 60 min games per week or one game and one practice
-Game/practice night determined by league
-One weekend tourney, option for more depending on team interest
-Need own helmet, mask, glove
