A recreational softball league for girls in 3rd through 8th grade. Pitching and base stealing are added at this level. An umpire calls balls and strikes. The goal of the program is to provide a positive environment in which participants enjoy playing softball and continue to improve skills.
The season runs approximately from May to the end of July, with registration typically in January of each year. Participants must register according to the league description. Those who knowingly misstate information may be dropped from the program. In some cases the age groups may be combined or divided up depending on the number of participants.
Practice times and games will vary based on field availability and the schedules of the other teams we will be playing. Home games will be played at the Roberts Park, Hammond Park or at the SCC school fields.
Coaches will notify participants via phone or email regarding the first practice. Coaches will hand out schedules as soon as available or you will be able to check the website for more information.
Practices and evaluations for girls U11-U14 will be held in February. Team assignments will be made based on assessments and birthdates. An additional $50 fees will apply if a player is invited to join a Tri-County team. Players who do not make a Tri-County team or choose not to join the Tri-County team, will be placed on an inhouse team.
Any 3rd Graders born in 2010 automatically play In-House as they are too young for Tri-County 10U age bracket.
