Machine pitch baseball is for boys currently enrolled in 1st or 2nd grade where the ball is thrown via machine for a safer, more consistent pitch. The goal of the program is to provide an enjoyable, positive environment in which participants learn the fundamentals of baseball. Success should be measured by the improvements in each player's skills and knowledge of baseball.
The season runs approximately 8 weeks from May to the end of July. Participants must register according to the league description. Those who knowingly misstate information may be dropped from the program. In some cases the age groups may be combined or divided up depending on the number of participants.
Generally players can expect two nights a week (Monday and Wednesday) of practice and games and will be held at the Town of Hammond Field.
Coaches will notify participants via phone or email regarding the first practice. Coaches will hand out schedules as soon as available or you will be able to check the website for more information.
