Girls Fall Softball

The Fall Softball League provides an additional opportunity in August and September for players to learn about the game and gain experience playing fastpitch.  Registration takes place in June/July.

The Fall Softball season will be played in the Tri County Softball League, via Minnesota Softball. Additional details about the league can be found at their website at Fall League | Minnesota Softball (mnsoftball.com).

There is not a local, recreational league option during fall ball. 


REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Teams will be determined by the number of players signed up at each age level and by coaches' review of prior season(s) skill levels. Assessments will NOT be held.

Registration:

  • Registration Fees for 2024 will be TBD per player
  • Online registration begins TBD
  • Deadline for registering is TBD
  • Players ENTERING 3rd-12th grade are eligible to register

UNIFORM DETAILS

JERSEYS:

  • 8U players: Uniforms ARE included with registration fee
  • 10U and older players: Uniforms are NOT included with registration fee. Girls should use uniforms from summer ball.  
  • Note - 10U and older players registering for fall ball who either don't have a 2024 summer ball jersey or need a different size can order a jersey by contacting cscrboard@gmail.com.  

PANTS, SOCKS, BELT:

  • Players must provide their own black softball pants
  • Players must provider their own black softball socks
  • Players must provider their own black softball belt

**USA Softball has updated the player age chart effective for the 2024 playing season**

**Note - Fall Ball (Aug/Sep 2023) is part of the 2024 playing season**

FALL LEAGUE SCHEDULE
8U and 10U will play their double-headers on Saturdays. 
12U, 14U, HS will play their double-headers on Sundays. 

8U & 10U

  • Week 1 - August 19
  • Week 2 - August 26
  • Week 3 - September 9
  • Week 4 - September 16
  • Week 5 - STATE TOURNAMENT - September 23
     

12U & 14U & HS

  • Week 1 - August 20
  • Week 2 - August 27
  • Week 3 - September 10
  • Week 4 - September 17
  • Week 5 - STATE TOURNAMENT - September 24
     

NOTE:

  • Practice days will be determined by the coaches' availability
  • Each week, game schedules are created based on teams win/loss record. The league director does their best to place a team against opponents with similar records. For this reason, game locations are posted each week on Wednesday.
  • Because of fall weather conditions, all games are rain or shine. The decision to play is made at the fields by the two head coaches and umpires.
  • 1/2 hour delay if lightning is present.
  • All games will be scheduled for 65 minutes, allowing for the last inning to be completed, and one inning using the tie breaker rule if the game is tied.
