Hello Central St Croix Rec Families!

As you know the current situation locally, nationally and globally is rapidly changing due to the spread of COVID-19. The Central St.Croix Rec Board has been following the latest developments and are doing our best to make our decisions/notifications in a timely manner. Below is a list of all springs sports and their current status. Please remember, these statuses are fluid and subject to change.

  • Volleyball - As of right now, the league is scheduled to start on April 11th. The only other change is there will be no league championship on May 16th, it will be a regular tourney. We will continue to monitor the situation and update as appropriate.
  • 8U/T-Ball - We are putting registration on hold until further notice with season dates TBD.
  • Softball - Season start date TBD
  • Baseball - Season start date TBD

We are hopeful the upcoming sports seasons will see as minimal disruptions as possible. That being said, the safety of our players and our community is our first priority. We have put all CSCR activities, sanctioned or otherwise, on hold indefinitely. This list includes, but is not limited to, games, tournaments, official practices, unofficial practices, team building events, and meetings. We expect our coaches to uphold this directive, regarding no CSCR activities, as representatives of our organization, prioritizing the safety of our players, their families, and our surrounding community.

We are asking you to follow Governor Evers directive and stay at home. We ask our Rec community to limit interactions to the same small group of people, not different small groups. Shrinking your number of interactions will help prevent the spread of COVID-19. That means no sleepovers, no play dates, no practices of any kind and no gatherings with friends and teammates. While this is not how we all imagined our spring, it is what is best for our entire community and beyond. The sooner we help flatten the curve, the sooner we can recover. We encourage you to follow the CDC, WHO, and the WI Department of Health for accurate and up to date information and safety practices.

We will continue to keep you up to date on our sports as we are sent updates by our leagues and as we make new decisions. We will also do our best to share all updates and information in a timely manner. Please take this time to settle in at home with your families, enjoy your time together and stay safe.
